Because nothing is impossible

Plasthill Ltd began its operation in the fall of 1996, deep in the forests of Pyytivaara, Finland, "the middle of nowhere". The enterpreneurial Kaasinen couple was determined to start a business of their own, on their own environmentally-friendly terms. Both had gathered a strong familiarity in the plastics field and business during their years working in southern Finland.

Bold investment in injection moulding technology
The company's very first order came from the army: 48,000 plastic bottles for field operations were assembled. So began business growth and several phases of facility expansion. Today the premises include several automated production lines and a mould storage and servicing area. The latest extension will provide new space for customer meetings and employee breaks.

New innovative composites
The company has always valued an open-minded approach to new operation and production methods. "In principle, nothing is impossible..." is the long-standing premise of customer-oriented product design. For Plasthill Ltd, the ideal product matches a suitable material with an aesthetically-pleasing and functional product design and ecological production.

The story behind... our origin
"Most of the customer relationships that were founded back when we began our operations have lasted to this day. We consider this as an important appreciation of our work. One of our most familiar products may be the plastic tube stopper used in the retail sale of ground cardamom. We have manufactured over 30 million tube stoppers to date."
